Boycott Ed Hardy and other poser clothing brands in 2010!

Over the past 2 years, a plague that hasn’t been seen since the 80’s has erupted upon fashion. Yeah you’ve probably seen these clothing wearers before. Glowing orange from too much sun tan, perma-pout lip glossed mouths and clothing with more rhinestones than Elvis. No, I’m not referring to females at all but rather this. Grab a paper bag, you may projectile vomit.

Boycott Ed Hardy

Do you guys even look at yourself in the mirror?

Don’t say I didn’t warn you. I’m not sure what the thought process of picking their attire is even like. “Oh man these rhinestones are pimpin’ broseph! I’m totally going to blind some honeys tonight.” This is why we can’t have nice things. You are everything wrong in this world with your sweatshop manufactured slop. How does it feel to walk into clubs and see 20 of you on the dance floor, chest smashing into each other with bro-love?

Id probably do the same thing if I was wearing that...

I'd probably do the same thing if I was wearing that tripe...

As a person with some free will and a self determining brain I’ve become tired of seeing the same recycled and rehashed designs on these pathetic excuses of clothing brands. As a result, I’m issuing a challenge of a special kind. If you’ve ever been caught wearing this regurgitation in fabric form, make it your new year’s resolution to stop wearing Tapout, Ed Hardy, SMET and Affliction for a whole 2 months. Send that 320 bucks you’d normally spend on these brands, and buy clothing that gives you an individual style. Or better still, donate it to a worthwhile charity. For too long, we’ve stood by and let corporations like these determine how we look as a collective. It is time for individualism to reign free again.

Furthermore, stop supporting artists and celebrities who wear this filth. It’s these people who push this image regularly on the television set, the radio and the big screen. Lil Wayne, Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Madonna; can you see a pattern of banality and lack of talent emerging? Stop buying their CD’s and watching their shows. I’m keeping that pledge.

It takes more talent to make those tops than it does for her to record a song.

My suggestion for your new years resolution in 2010 – Boycott Ed Hardy and other poser clothing brands in 2010. I know I will.
